PEDAGOGY of CONSEQUENCE
- CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE TEACHING FOR YUKON FIRST NATION CITIZENS -
PHASE TWO
Teachers Adjusting Their Teaching
The second phase of the research focuses on gauging the influence of culturally responsive teaching on students in the intermediate years (Grades 4-8). These years were identified by the researchers as the most consequential in formulating their views as learners (Lewthwaite & McMillan, 2010).
In this phase, the teachers enacted changes that they individually identified as needing adjustment based upon the qualities of effective practice illustrated in the narratives.
